Question 1

What happens when I import a recipe from a URL?

Accepted Answer

We bring in the recipe itself — its ingredients, steps, times, servings and tags, plus a copy of its main photo — and link back to the original source. We leave out the author's introduction. Read our Recipe Sourcing policy for details.

Question 2

Is the nutrition information accurate?

Accepted Answer

If the original page publishes nutrition, we bring it in with the recipe. Otherwise you can ask for an AI estimate from your ingredient list. Either way it's approximate: useful for general planning, but not medical or dietary advice. For exact values, weigh ingredients and check brand-specific labels.

Question 3

Who can see what I post?

Accepted Answer

Posts you share to your feed are visible to people who follow you. Recipes saved privately stay in your cookbook and aren't shared until you post them.

Question 4

Can I share a recipe I found on another website?

Accepted Answer

Facts aren't copyrightable, but the original wording can be. An imported recipe keeps its steps as the author wrote them and always links back to the source, so rewrite the steps and any notes in your own words before you post it publicly.

Question 5

I'm a recipe creator — how do I get my content removed?

Accepted Answer

Send a takedown notice following the instructions on our DMCA page. Valid notices are processed promptly.

Question 6

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security and tap "Delete account". Your account and personal data are removed immediately, and any remaining copies in backups are purged within 30 days. You can also download a full JSON export of your data from the same screen before deleting.

Question 7

How are grocery lists organized?

Accepted Answer

Items are grouped by store, then by food category within each store, so you only see what you need at the store you're walking into.

Question 8

Do you sell my personal data?

Accepted Answer

No. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of who we share data with and why.
